5 Wheelchair Rugby Facts

 1.  It is a contact sport and physical contact happens between chairs.

2.  Wheelchair rugby is played indoors on a hardwood court.

3.  It was developed in Canada in 1977.

4.  The sport's original name was Murder Ball.

5.  It has little in common with Rugby Football except the name.

I enjoy knowing that disadvantaged people can do something like us. :)

  1. It certainly is good to know that people in wheelchairs also have options for playing sport and being active - I bet they love having the chance to represent NZ and it is just a shame that they don't get as much recognition as the able-bodied sportspeople.
